A Warm Weekend & Temple Visit Part 2
A place we've been many times but I've never brought the big camera. Someday I'll remember....
A beautiful day for some treasure hunting. No treasure to take in this little one, but we left one of our tiny camera charms.
Family Temple Day! I can't get enough of it.
I love the camera, just to watch his sleeping positions. Kid is all over the bed.
We have learned that Logan's birthday cupcakes are still good after freezing for 11 months. Eek.

Buh Bye Inversion
As we have had a fabulous rainstorm today, I'm really hoping we've seen the last of the cold inversion for the winter. The fog it created was fun for a couple of days, but after that, it was just too nasty to want to do anything outside.
Beckham being Beckham.
We can see the mountains again! Seriously a sight for sore eyes. The smog got so thick towards the end, we couldn't see them from our house!
Going to visit Steph next week and decided this kid can carry his own stuff at the airport. He was so excited about his "fwoggie packpack" arriving today, he immediately stuffed it full with his favorite toys and it barely left his back the rest of the day. (And couldn't stop talking about how excited he is to "take it to the big, huge airport and can I go on a school bus soon?")

Aquarium Visit!
Fear of getting sick has made me so introverted this winter. Like never go and do anything with others. Today was such a great break from that, catching up with Kim, and letting our crazy Logans run around the aquarium together! I have missed friend time this year.
It was so empty that day!
We even had the shark tunnel all to ourselves for a short moment! (Showing his muscles like Daddy's.)
Roar!

Days Blur
The inversion is finally starting to leave! Starting. The days all were blurring together into one smoggy, depressing mess for a while.
Found a new spot! Gonna have to test it out soon....
Right next to the road. I really need to just get in the habit of throwing my camera in my car EVERY time I go out location hunting!
Logan's descriptive words: Yummy and eaty, my own favorite, beautiful
For example: "That's my own favorite, beautiful pizza. It's yummy and eaty!"
"Can I have marshmallows for breakfast, pleeeeeeeeeease?"
Light & Shadow
First nice warm day in SO LONG. We spent three hours outside cleaning my car and throwing snow. (Guess who did what?) When we finally came in, he just couldn't last any longer.

Valentine's Weekend 2016
Gave Logan the iPad this morning so I could exercise in peace for once.... Didn't last long before someone else decided it was his turn for attention.
Totally romantic love story movie for a Valentine's date. 😂
Always up for some cuddles.
I have to brag about what a fantastic primary we have in our ward. Ever since Logan was tiny and I could tell he was an energetic little one, I dreaded the time when he'd be in classes and school where he's supposed to sit down for more than five seconds. I knew he'd be a tough one and try a lot of patience. But I have been pleasantly, extremely AMAZED at how his primary leaders know how to work with him and understand him! Everyone is incredible, but even more so his sunbeam teacher. She always tells us how fun he is and what a joy to have in her class. I don't think she fully understands the huge effect she has had on lowering my anxiety levels. And all the other leaders always telling me the positives each Sunday and softening the blow when he has a bit of trouble. Bless all of them, we are so lucky to have *saints* in our midst. (His teacher made each of her kids little tiny blankets to remind them that the Holy Ghost is a comforter. Who comes up with these ideas?! She does.)
Just a little reediting and seaweed/sand cleanup.
One more. The seaweed doesn't really really bother me in our Mexico photos, but on these few favorites, it was worth the time to clean it up.
I like it even better in b&w.
(On repeat) "Life is wonderful, even in the hard times, and there is happiness, joy, and peace at stops all along the way." - Howard W. Hunter
L: "Mommy! I had a good dream last night!"
Me: "What did you dream about?"
L: "About new toys!"

Smoggy Fog
A little artsy fun while we had the fog.
Behind the trees.
Obscured. (A little artistic license with this one. I adore it though!)
Moo.

Provo City Center Temple (Part 1)
We have tickets to go with the family soon, but I heard that the standby line is super short sometimes (it was this morning) so decided to visit today, just the little guy and me. I'm so excited that such an amazing and beautiful temple is our district! I can't wait to do a session! (And I get to shoot a wedding there within two weeks of opening!!)
On our way to see the new temple and, ya know, stopped for a few minutes to tromp around in the snow in a dress and teeny ballet flats for some shots of the fog and frost.
Me: "Do you want to get married in the temple someday?"
L: "Yeah! With Daddy and Mommy! 'Amorrow!"
Haha. Bedtime.

More Winter Complaints
Logan was hitting the dogs with his snack cup one morning. So I took it away and put in on our dresser. He cried for a while when I realized he'd gotten quiet. Looked back and he was sitting smack in the middle of our bed, making a bunch of different grumpy faces, staring at the cup. I don't think he even realized he was til I laughed at him.
BYU game with Poppa and cousins! Logan loooooved his first cougar tail too!
Beckham. 'Nuff said.
Logan had his first bad dream that he could remember. He came in our room in the middle of the night, scared and crying that his foot got "bery hurt." I put him back to bed and stayed until he was asleep. The next day, we asked him about it and he told us a monster was chasing him and caught his foot and hurt him. He didn't stop talking about it for two weeks.
After what feels like a year of winter last month, Greg inspired us to do some treasure hunting. So good to be out again!
It's supposed to warm up this week so we made a quick visit out to play on the lake today too, just in case it melts.
We love the solid ice!
Hehe. Google maps says we went swimming.
Favorite.
Oh, he definitely remembers our summer fun. And is just itching to get back to it!
Slipping on the ice is fun though too.
With the cold temps, kiddo really loves sitting in the bath. For hours.
